[8] What do you want to do for a living?

My major is microbiology, which is a rather rare and specialized field.

Because of that, it's difficult to find job opportunities, and I often worry about whether I can build a long-term career in this area.

 

Although I take great pride in my field,

I’ve come to realize that it may not be the most practical choice for earning a stable income in Korea.

That’s why I’m now preparing to transition into a different field.

 

In my opinion, being a pharmacist is one of the best professions in Korea.

Pharmacists not only enjoy high salaries, but also have a great flexible work style.

 

They can easily find jobs in pharmaceutical companies,

and if they’re unsatisfied their job position, they can easily  quit and open their own pharmacy like drug store.

That's why pharmacists never really have to retire.

 

Moreover, as time goes on, the aging population continues to grow,

and the demand for medication is expected to rise steadily.

 

I believe that in the future, the most promising industries will be healthcare, beauty, and AI.
